Chatham-Kent Children's Services Wants Your Help!
Mission: “Working with our community to strengthen families and promote the well being and safety of children and youth.”
Volunteers play an important role in the services Chatham-Kent Children's Services provide. Volunteer’s contributions are invaluable and provides a vital link between the agency and the communities we serve.
The opportunity to make a difference
The greatest satisfaction of volunteering is knowing that you’ve helped to improve the life of a child and his or her family.
You also have the chance to meet interesting people, including other volunte ers, staff, foster parents and the children and families we serve.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life…
CKCS Volunteers are special people who choose to contribute their time, energy and special skills to the children and families we serve. They are men and women, young and old, single and partnered, students, working people and retirees. They also come from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic and religious groups.
Volunteers provide a wide range of services…
Opportunities to volunteer vary, but generally volunteers can get involved in a wide range of services. We try to fit the placement to the skills, interests and available time of each volunteer.
Many volunteers do whatever is needed to help improve the lives of children in our community, such as participating in children’s groups, or taking part in ongoing programs that benefit both children and parents.
