Child & Family Consultant
This position is to provide developmental or mental health intervention services to children and their families who are experiencing developmental or mental health difficulties. This function is carried out in partnership with community treatment, childcare, health, recreational, educational and social services programs.
Child & Family Consultant - Trainer
This position is to provide training and guidance to community pre-school educators to assist them in guiding children’s challenging behavior and to plan and conduct training sessions for the Agency and community in various aspects of child development/parenting. The Child & Family Consultant – Trainer serves as Agency trainer for Crisis Prevention Intervention and is able to provide intervention services to children and families who are experiencing developmental and mental health difficulties.
Caseworker
This position provides direct clinical counseling services to children/youth (up to the age of 18) and their families who require intervention services beyond the crisis period or as identified at the intake assessment level.
Developmental Support Worker
This position provides direct one on one assistance and/or care as required to a child (aged 0 to 6) and/or his/her family in a licensed childcare setting and other assigned locations as required to enhance the child’s functioning in daily living.
Developmental Support Worker - Autism
This position provides direct one-on-one assistance and/or care as required to a child and/or his/her family in a classroom setting to enhance the child’s functioning in daily living.
Hope Housing Worker
This position provides in-home and community based programs which enable participating residents of Chatham Hope Non-Profit Housing to acquire information, service access, life skills and support in order to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families. The Hope Housing Worker offers assistance to families in areas such as daily living skills, budgeting, child management, problem solving, decision-making, career planning, nutrition, family life and advice on how to be an effective tenant.
Mental Health In-Home Support Worker
This position provides support to children/youth and their families who are in crisis. Eligibility will be defined as described in the “Symptomatology Warranting STAT Service” document. This service will be provided in the family home. The service will be provided under the auspices of a Short-Term Assessment and Treatment” (STAT) file and will follow the treatment plan established by the STAT Worker or Caseworker.
Mental Health Intake Worker
This position acts as a point of contact between the Central Intake Screener and potential mental health/development clients/families to obtain further data to determine eligibility for service, immediate risk of abuse/neglect and/or danger to self or others, involving child protection and crisis services as necessary. The Mental Health Intake Worker assesses the client/families to determine service needs, initial formulation of plan of service and recommendation of case disposition.
OEYC Data Analysis Coordinator
The Data Analysis Coordinator (DAC) builds partnerships with the early years organizations and school boards, and provides specialized services in the area of research and outcomes measurement.
The DAC is entrusted with sensitive data sets for the purpose of conducting analyses and reporting on findings and lends their expertise in evaluation and outcomes measurement to assist in monitoring outcomes at the local, regional and provincial levels.
The DAC works directly with MCYS, research groups, school boards, staff, families and children on various outcomes measurement and evaluation initiatives.
OEYC Early Literacy Consultant
This position works primarily with groups and organizations in the community to monitor, support and promote literacy among children from birth to age six and their parents/caregivers.
OEYC Practitioner
This position works in the Early Years Centre’s within Chatham-Kent and provides assistance to families, caregivers and communities in their efforts to raise children.
OEYC Resource Coordinator
This position provides a variety of services related to the OEYC including recruitment and orientation of individuals interested in becoming volunteers for OEYC. The OEYC Resource Coordinator coordinates the overall OEYC volunteer function so as to provide support, information and training to enhance the Early Years Programs and services. The OEYC Resource Coordinator is responsible for delivering other resource services for professionals, families and children including the Child Care Information Registry, Resource and Toy Lending, Room to Grow and Caregiver Education and Support Night.
Power Of Youth (POY)Prevention Worker
This position provides programs in schools and after schools, which promote healthy attitudes towards self and others and the community in which students live. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the pupils and needs are identified by the classroom teacher.
Psychologist
This position provides psychological assessment and consultation services to clients, families and service providers within the Agency regarding all psychological aspects of client assessment and intervention. The Psychologist will also provide clinical consultation to other service providers.
Psychometrist
Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, the Psychometrist provides direct assessment services. Consultation may also be provided to clients/families and other service providers regarding individual psychometric assessments. The Psychometrist provides formal and informal assessments for clients of the agency and supports the psychologist in the preparation of psychological assessment reports.
Service Coordinator
This position is responsible for seeing that the Family and Community Service Plan is implemented in a positive and health enhancing manner for the child and family through the coordination of services within the municipality and, if applicable, outside the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
Crisis Counselor – STAT
This position provides immediate stabilization services to client/family members who are at risk of harm to self or others, or who have experienced a traumatic event.
